The Office of Public Witness of the PCUSA urges the US Senate to protect Haitians at risk by supporting Temporary Protective Status (TPS) legislation (S.4814) that would extend TPS to 2029.
The Micah 6:8 Committee is joining with the Central Florida Micah Movement to organize churches to:
- Sign a joint letter to Senators Ashley Moody and Rick Scott to extend TPS for Haitians. The goal is 500 signatures by October 11 for delivery to the Senators on October 13. See cfmicahmovement.com/sign to sign the letter.
- Call Senators Ashley Moody and Rick Scott on October 14 asking them to support Senate Bill S.4814.
- Participate in a Faithful Public Witness Rally at Orlando City Hall on October 18 at 3:00pm. The goal is 200 witnesses.
