100 Hours of Mission in May
A Century of Community in Christ
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 4:10-11
As we continue our yearlong Centennial Celebration at Park Lake Presbyterian Church, we look forward to May when we will focus on 100 Hours of Service. Our goal is to weave mission work – always an important part of Park Lake’s ministry – into our anniversary observance, involving as many from our congregation as possible. Please sign up for one or more of our outreach events and suggest additional opportunities. You can also share other outreach ideas with Leesa at leesabainbridge1@gmail.com.
No Child Hungry Meal-Packing Event
Saturday, May 3, 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., Struble Fellowship Hall
Please join us in taking action to fight childhood hunger. Come to Struble Hall, bring your family, friends or neighbors and help assemble 10,000 meals through No Child Hungry, nochildhungry.net. This Apopka-based organization has sent meals across the United States and Central America, Ukraine and wherever the greatest need is at the time.
We need 24 people to help us assemble the meals most efficiently, so please sign up and join us in this outreach.
Please RSVP in the bulletin sign up slip, the link in the Park Lake Up2date or contact Dawn Neff at
mslavelle1@aol.com to sign up.

Serve Lunch To Grace Medical Home Staff/Help With Projects
Monday, May 12, Noon to 3 p.m.

Spruce Up Our Church
Saturday, May 17, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Help spruce up Park Lake for its 100th Birthday! We will do small to moderate projects around the church, both inside and outside. Think digging in the dirt to dusting window sills! Come when you can and wear your cleaning clothes. Bring your own lunch/snacks and water bottle. All ages welcome.
Other projects such as serving lunch at the Christian Service Center are also in the works and we will continue to communicate these opportunities. If you know of someone in the congregation who needs a hand and you can help, perhaps May is the right time to reach out. Just let Leesa Bainbridge know how you served the Lord through these projects. Please email Erin Cook for more details and to sign up at erincook987@gmail.com.
