MEET OUR GUEST PEACEMAKER – P.C.(USA) PEACEMAKER, AMIRA BARHAM (Palestine)
Come for a simple supper and presentation by Amira followed by question/answer time.
PEACEMAKER Amira Barham (PALESTINE) a Palestinian Christian, was born and raised in the town of Beit Jala, near Bethlehem. With a passion for social justice, equality, and helping people, Amira obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from California State University Long Beach. She has worked as a social worker with many diverse and vulnerable populations in Palestine, the United Kingdom and the United States. Most recently, Amira’s work has been focused on supporting marginalized children in Palestine, mainly from refugee camps, with Sounds of Palestine. Additionally, she is connected to Al Harah Theater, as the developer of policies for safeguarding children.
You are also invited to come the next day for CFP SERVE DAY – SATURDAY, OCT 7, 8am – 12pm – First Presbyterian Church, Deland.
Meet and serve alongside Amira as we partner with Society of St. Andrew to bag and distribute nutritious food to our hungry neighbors. Volunteers should arrive between 8am and 9am to assemble family sized bags of fresh produce and distribute it directly into the hands of people who struggle with hunger.
